2010 National Head-Up Poker Championship Back at Caesars Place

Filed under: Poker News.On March 5 to March 7 of this year, the NBC Sports will hold its annual tradition the National Heads-Up Poker Championship at Caesars Palace. Speculation rises that the tournament officials are having a hard time choosing and confirming participants for the said event. However, as of this moment, there were seven confirmed players.
Joe Cada champion of the 2009 World Series of Poker and Phil Ivey seventh place of the same tournament will both play in the 2010 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship. Cada’s winnings in Las Vegas alone amounted to $8.5 million and he is currently appearing in both programs, the “Late Show with David Letterman” and ESPN’s “Sports Center”.
On the other hand, Ivey was labeled as poker’s all-time tournament money leader with winnings amounting to $12.8 million. Huck Seed will also join Cada and Ivey in the tournament. Seed defeated Jonathan Litte, Gus Hansen, Glen Corny, David Oppenheim and Sammy Farha and is the only player to have winnings in every running in the heads-up event where he is in.
Hellmuth made a great impact in poker game in his 2005 victory as well as his win against Mike Sexton in the first round and Tom Dwan in the third round in the World Poker Tour last year. He will also appear in the NBC annual tradition.
In addition to the four aforementioned players, Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso and Chris Ferguson will also make an appearance. Leeann Tweeden hosstess of “Poker After Dark” will again serve as sideline reporter while Craig Hummer and Ali Nejad will provide commentary during the tournament.
