From Poker to Oil Trade

The former executives of the World Poker Tour (WPT) has engage with new success in business since selling franchise to Party gaming for $12.3 million last November. The said company that was known as Ante4 Inc. turn to be as a progressive corporation in the month of April that shown double increase in less than a month.

As WPT chief executive, Steve Lipscomb said to stockholders that he plan to make use of the cash windfall of the sale of the famed tour to Party Gaming and proceed to new enterprise. On the 16th of April, the said company merged with oil leasing firm in Billings, Montana to build Voyager Oil and Gas.

Lyle Berman who happens to be a poker pro is also serving as Chairman of the WPT at the same time at Voyager. As he stated, “We thought if we could find a company with a great business model that needed cash, the stock would trade significantly above $1.40.” From the interview of L.A Business Journal he said that “We have fulfilled that mission.”

Lipscomb, Berman, and Berman’s son, Bradley, has no particular experience in the oil industry; however, they serve on the board of Voyager

J.R. Reger and Mitchell Thompson are presently working on the Voyager, they are running the company’s headquarters that was moved from Wilshire Boulevard to Miracle Mile to Billings.
